Need to search for parameters from excel database based on *** and age

Hello,

I need to search for 3 parameters, L, M and P based on the S.ex and age from the attached excel file Attachment 286117 and enter them into the formula below

Z = (((X/M)**L) - 1)/LS ,L is not equal to 0

or

Z = ln(X/M)/S ,L=0

where X is the weight of the child. The formula is for the Z score.

I must be having a senior moment (or too much xmas vino?). Im trying to figure out what you want here, and not doing too well

Could you provide a few sample answers and how you got them please?

Thanks! I am attaching an Excel file wtageinf.xlswith the sample calculation at the bottom of the spreadsheet.

What I did was look at the inputs, which were X = 2kg, s.ex = 1, and age = 0.5 months, looked at the table for the corresponding L (C3),M (D3) and P (E3) values and plugged them into the formula

Z = (((X/M)**L) - 1)/LS

What I am looking for is a way to get the L,M and P values automatically for a given S.ex and age.
