Using forms to input and move college scheduling data - filtering information

    Good morning

I am attempting to sort the data in the attached file (which is a basic template and very much WIP) in an attempt to create a scheduling solution for a college where I work. Those in charge are either unwilling or unable to purchase a proprietary commercial platform.

Basically, I want to enter data using forms rather than typing into individual cells. I also want to be able to filter information in a variety of ways, such as :

    Programme per semester
    Course per semester/week/month/specific date
    Students per group, course. programme
    Teacher per group
    Course per classroom
    Exams per group
    Exams per student
    Exams per teacher
    Attendance

I am hoping to be able to find a way of engineering this so that, finally, users can

    - easily modify data using forms - I want to be able to move around data contained in ranges of cells not just individually - for example, a course scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Friday one week might move to another. There is likely to be a lot of chopping and changing of schedules over the next few months and it will be an impossibly time consuming task to do all of this manually.

    - have the facility to easily filter, view and print info, more or less as per the above list, but made idiot proof, so that approved users just click on a button or a link without having direct access to the data base.

This is all still very generic, I know. But the above is the basic idea.

I should have added that the cells in columns D and E of the attached have been combined temporarily, solely for presentation purposes.
