    Hi everybody,

    normally; C8 cell contains =C7-v45

I want to make a formula that everday automatically subtracts the value of V column(for yesterday) from C7. I tried to use vlookup but some days the value of V column equals zero as you see on table. when the value of V column the day before i want formula to check a cell above if it's contains a different value.

I hope i did explain my question correctly

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Forum.

Can you please post the sample template in excel format rather than an image? Click on "Go Advanced" option and use the paper clip icon for file upload.

You still need to change the name of your thread as requested by sktneer.

Re: Couldn't make a suitable formula

You need to change the title to define what the problem is. It is so that others can scan the title and understand what you want and in later months, maybe, make use of the solution. I have a solution that works, but I should not post it until you change the title as requested. Even something lioke "Date range problem in a lookup" would be better than what you currently have!!

    Try this:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Note: This will consider negative values too (if they can appear in V column) and ignore only 0 and blank
