    Excel and Websites

Through what website company can i create a freewebsite and add an excel file to which people can just edit the excel file.. I know i can use google docs, but i rather make a website to where people can use the file on the website and edit on that website.

    Hi RavensFtw,

Isn't this what Microsoft OneDrive is all about? Do you need to pay for it? Read:

    Re: Excel and Websites

Thank you for the reply, I am not looking for a sharing system.
I am trying to add multiple files excel and non excel files. I dont want anyone editing those files either, i know with google docs you could edit, not sure about onedrive because i have never used it before.

So i need a website not just for the excel file i have other things to put, but i need a website to be compatible with excel files.

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

    Re: Excel and Websites

Just an update, I have been trying excel and one drive. I made my cells hidden the ones that have formulas.. but then when i put it to one drive.. people who edit the file can see the formula.. so then i tried to protect the sheet or workbook, but they have to download the file in order to use it then. I am trying to make it online rather than downloaded. So if anyone has any thoughts as to onedrive or a website as i said previously that would be great.
    Thank you

I could put an embedded link. This is great. But, I people have the ability to open the excel file in one drive through my link on the website.. and then they can download it through one drive. Which will show all the formulas and everything. If I try to block the sheet from being shared then it wont make an embedded link on one drive..

    Any ideaS?
