    automatic "yes" when saving

i have excel 2007 and windows 7. i had excel set up to automatically put the pointer at "yes" when asked if i wanted to save the changes i had made. i then had to reinstall excel because of a new hard drive. i can't find my way back to setting this up in options. anyone else use this and know how i can get it back?

Here is a link below with instructions on how to setup auto-select for "Yes" button in Windows. Not really sure if this the extends to the MS Office applications. Give it a try and see if it works.

You are looking for a MOUSE setting that moves the cursor to the default choice. My Logitech mouse setting is called "Smart Move" found under Pointer Settings.

Microsoft mice have the same setting but I can't from memory recall what the setting is called in the Mouse setup.

There is a setting in Excel's options under Advanced called Cursor Movement, Logical with the other choice Visual....possibly that is what you are thinking of.

I'm glad that the Mouse setting worked for you.

    Thanks for the feedback.

i have checked the options:advanced over and over and i don't see it. just a little frustrating, but it's good to know for other applications that the mouse setting works.
