Cells are merged after converting PDF to Excel

Hello Friends
Here is the problem :
I have generated a report from our system. The report is in PDF format.
Then I converted this PDF file to Excel using an online application.

The cells in some of the rows are merged (i dont know why)
Now if i unmerge these cells, the problem is all the values are placed in the first cell only.

i am uploading the sample of the converted file .
Please see Row no. 8 & 16.
All other rows are okay

Waiting for solution

Is it possible to download your report in CSV format? This might solve the problem.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

Re: Cells are merged after converting PDF to Excel

Try this approach.

1st make a copy of your data in case you mess up.

Then put this in a helper column on treh right to help ID which rows you need to look at. It will show 1 for the merged rows and a higher value for the unmerged rows....
=COUNTA(A2:W2)
You can now apply filters and filter on 1 to show just the merged rows

OK, now unmerge those rows, make sure the cursor is just in column A of the row and use Text2Columns to break the cell into multiple cells. Use Delimited/space and make sure Treat consecutive is checked
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
