    pasting data into filtered list

    Hi everyone

i have a list of filtered data and i want to paste a new set of data into the filtered list. I tried using "Go To" , select "Visible Cells" only and pasting the set of data in. However, there is an error saying that the info cannot be pasted due to difference in cell size and shape. there aren't any merged cells and both the filtered list as well as the data I'm intending to copy and paste contains 136cells.

Is there any way i can paste my data without error?

I can do this with a macro, but I am unaware of a way to do what you want without sorting. Would you like a macro?

Here you go. The values of the macro are based on the sheet that you provided me, you can edit the macro to the ranges you desire.

    Book1 (1).xlsm

Edit: Just FYI, if you have less replacement values than you do #N/A's, the macro will start to write the values that are below your replacement value range.

Thank you, your macro worked perfectly.

However, what if this time round i want to copy the data from another excel book? Is it still possible using this macro?

Re: pasting data into filtered list

You would have to change the reference for the replacement data. If you supply a sample that more accurately represents your data, it might be possible, but might be beyond the scope of my knowledge. If I see the sample, it will help.

Edit: I'd also have to know the filepath for where the replacement data would be. Or, I could have a window pop open where you would select the file.
