    Cross checking data in tables

    Hi

In the attached workbook, I would like to input data into the cells in the first worksheet that are light orange, and get the suitable cable size from the table in the second spreadsheet.

As an example, the data that is in there now, should return a value of 25mm, as that is the first size that is suitable for 100A.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Does your data on the Table 4 sheet have to be in that format? What you are asking can be accomplished, but merged cells tend to cause errors using the search criteria.

We also need to know what the values within the columns labeled 1 - 26 represents.

Re: Cross checking data in tables

Thanks for taking the time to have a look.

I spent a bit of time on it last night and came up with a solution (attached for info).

I'm sure it could be done in one step with an elegant macro or something, but I'm happy with the way it works.

If I change any of the options in salmon, it returns the correct cable size from table 4.

The numbers in the table represent current carrying capacity of cables installed in different ways.

    Thanks again.
