cannot click on combobox and cannot insert an object

Hi guys - has anyone come across this before ? All of a sudden I simply cannot click on a combobox drop down and niether can I create a new combobox and get the msg "Cannot Insert Object".

EDIT -I have discovered that I cant insert any active x controls - and receive the Cannot insert object message

I have sent the wb to some colleagues, and others have accessed it from its location and it works fine for them!

Any ideas as to why I cant select the drop down?

For anyone ever experiencing this problem - I resolved it by deleting my temp files

I've just seen a similar problem posted on another forum, so it may be an issue with a recent Office update.

Close all your Office apps, search your computer for files with .exd extension (NOT .exe !!) and delete them. Then try again. Note you will need to include hidden and system files and folders in the search.

Hey Subaros - I simply did a disk cleanup and was sure to include the Temp files - it worked for me!

Knowing Romperstomper, his suggestion is bound to work and is probably more efficient than mine!!
