Check for dublicates

I have large data files which is in .txt and in excel formats. I wanted to check if any two cells vary by for say 5%. If they vary over 5%, I want that cell to either highlight or bold or some kind of identification. Please help me if it can be done in excel thru macros or in any means.

Really appreciate it.

Thanks
RV

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

Do you mean sheet1 A1 compared to sheet1 B1, or sheet1 A1 compared to sheet2 A1, or workbook A sheet1 1 A1 compared to workbook B sheet1 A1 or......?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Check for dublicates

Basically I am running a software for which the output file is a .txt file. I have to do multiple runs and see the difference in output files. I can convert the .txt file to excel, but want to identify the difference in the output files. So it will be Workbook A Sheet 1 A1 compared to Workbook B sheet 1 A1.

Hope I am clear.

Thanks

Probably the easiest way to do this would be using a helper column, with something like this...
=IF(A1=Sheet2!A1,"",Sheet2!A1)
