How to do this (keyword research)?

I had a list of 1000 domains, and I pulled 1000 separate spreadsheets with keywords from Google.com USA (paid seo tool). I combined all of them into one spreadsheet (I am going over it now, and deleting not-needed ones).

I realized that I can get keywords from Bing USA too, and I did not do it. I will go to the tool, and pull 1000 separate Excel spreadsheets, and combine them into one (I will delete duplicates, just like I did it with the previous list, I did not mention it before).

I have the original file, with not deleted keywords (after removing duplicates) for Google USA, and I now have a similar file for Bing USA (duplicate values are deleted too).

How do I find keywords that are in Bing spreadsheet, but are not in the Google spreadsheet, so I can crate a new list, and add new Bing keywords there. I also need to mention that I am already working on deleting non-needed keywords from the Google spreadsheet. I would like to finish this, then do some kind of thing, that would give me Bing only keywords, go over them, delete not needed ones, and add it to the final keywords spreadsheet.

    Thanks!

It would not be easy to check anything by hand (Bing - Yes, No, that was mentioned). I am talking about 180,000 items list.

I think you have started down a track and, I guess, you are determined to get to the end of it. Perhaps you need to take a step back and think about what exactly you are trying to achieve. What do you need to do? And why?

If you have 180,000 "key words", I would suggest that they're not really key words ... that's around 18% to 20% of the English Language.

I would suggest that, if you want to collate the lists, you take the Google list and insert a new column A, type the word "Google" into cell A1 and then copy it down. Then, take the Bing list and insert a new column A, type the word Bing into cell A1 and then copy it down. Now you can take the Google list and copy it to a new sheet. Then take the Bing list and copy it below the Google list. Once that's in place, convert the combined list into a Structured Table. You can then sort and/or filter your combined list. And you can add a COUNTIF formula to sequence the duplicates and another to highlight duplicates. So, you could filter on unique entries (duplicates column = 1) or duplicates (duplicates >=1), and then you can filter on Bing or Google to determine where the unique records originated. And you could create a Pivot Table to analyse the whole list ... and still filter and sort the Pivoted list.

So, lots you can do ... but we're just guessing at what might be useful to you.

Thanks. This gives me some ideas. I am not familiar with Excel yet. I mean, I've been using it, but I am planning to read like 3 or more good books, as this is needed for webmaster work. With this, I will have a general idea on what to search for on the Internet, and I can go from there.

    Thanks.

PS. If anybody has some better methods, please let me know.

You probably need to be more specific about what you want to do.

    Maybe upload some sample workbooks/lists

    Example:

    list A 10,000 items
    list B 2,000 items

Goal: Find items that are on list B and not on list A

Yes, that much we know ... except you mentioned 180,000 items.

Whatever, if you do not wish to provide a sample workbook, or workbooks, with some typical data, there's probably not a lot anyone can do to help you.

I suspect that no-one is interested in preparing test data so that they can test a solution, only for you to say, "oh, that's good, but it doesn't work properly because my data looks like this and it's laid out like this".

I'm now declaring myself out and unsubscribing from this thread.

Every cell is something like "two words plus", "sometimes more words there", keywords... All info about what is needed for this, is in post #7, I would say. If the solution applies to 100 or 1000 words, it will apply to 100,000 too.
