Hi All, I want to count a range. But instead of using

I want the 480 to be determined by a cell. Cell B5 in fact. So if B5 = 550 the countif would be

Another way if you also need to avoid the volatility of INDIRECT :

I chose row 10000 assuming it to be suitably large enough for an upper boundary. That can be changed to a larger number if needed. Or use the whole column Y in this way :
