    Optimize list for payback <X

    I'm a newbee... that needs help to solve what is probably a simple solution.

    From the project list (below) I need to select those projects that will collectively optimize a payback of <2.

    In the list i want to select the by paybaxk value the rows that collectivly deliver a payback equal to or less than x.

    Autofilter the payback column for values < 2.

    Sure that will find rows with payback <2. But if the payback of those rows is 1.5 there may be X additional rows with a payback >2 that when included the payback of all rows remains <2. A sort command will not optimize the result. Below rows marked with "o" offer a payback result of 1.96 even though the payback for row 2 is >2. Retesting the result with row 3 (marked x) yields a payback result >2 (2.04 as shown in last row).

    You get better help on your question if you add a small excel file, without confidential information.

    Please also add manualy the expected result in your file.
