How to drag copy a cell into hidden cells below - Excel 2013.

    Hi

I have a problem. I have a filtered list. I wish to be able to drag some of the cells down so that the hidden cells in between also get data copied.

This is easier for me as the filtered list is shorter and easier to read than the unfiltered list.

I have Excel 2013. Could anyone suggest ?

Left click and hold on the fill handle on the lower right of the cell that you want to copy down and drag down as far as needed. All cells that are hidden between the starting cell and the end cell will be filled in appropriately.

    Hi

I did try it (with filtering on). EXCEL just copies the data on the visible cells and not on the invisible empty cells that lie in between the visible cells.
There used to be a time when EXCEL (older versions) would just do the opposite.

    jderik, welcome to the forum

I tried what you want, using 2013, and the drag-copy copied to all cells, including the hidden rows.

Also, please update your profile as necessary to properly reflect the exact version(s) of Excel your question relates to. Members tailor answers based on your Excel version. Your profile says 2003, but your file indicates at least 2007
