Hi all,
Assume:
A1 contains "Yahoo"
B1 contains www.yahoo.com
C1 combines A1 & B1, just a link created with HYPERLINK referencing B1 as link location and A1 as the friendly name
How do I get rid of A1 and B1 while preserving the text and link function of C1? I've tried various special pastes attempting to overlay URLs onto friendly names and vice versa but no joy.
Any help appreciated!
There is no built-in feature that can do this. Here is a macro that will do the conversion for you. It operates on whatever cell is selected at the time the macro runs. It assumes that the HYPERLINK formula has simple cell references for the link location and friendly name, and they are on the same sheet as the HYPERLINK formula.
