    EXCEL/WORD Document

    Hello,

I would like to ask you about this issue.

I have a list of various materials information, and i need to put in the Office Word Document.

Because the columns in Word are paralel, and the sequence is in the column way, how can i put the information Word/Excel automatically. The correspondence formula in word don't work in this way.

Could you help me about this problem? See the attachments.

    Best regards

    Re: EXCEL/WORD Document

Because that is the way it is!
    - Word has to have the data saved the way it needs it and that is the wrong way for you
    - So no choice, transpose it in Excel
    - Word does not have the ability to transpose

Something that may help you understand - Word is reading the Excel table and pulling data from it. You are not "putting" the data in Word.

If you want to automate, write a macro in Excel which:
1 copies the data to another sheet
    2 transpose the data
Then point Word mail merge at the the other sheet

    Re: EXCEL/WORD Document

    Are you mail merging?
In post#01 you used the word "correspondence" = mail (did I misunderstand?)

Or are you copying and pasting?

Whichever method you are using, Word cannot transpose, so that must be done in Excel before.

    Re: EXCEL/WORD Document

Word is not always good even for letters and contracts
    you can:
    1. make your word form in your WB or in mine
    2. your data layout must be correct and esealy be organized
    3. do everything you need with INDEX, MATCH and COUNTIF
PS you can change rows in my WB with double click
IMHO most important: all date are in the table, the form is just for print
