printing to exact size excel 2002

in excel 2002...i need to have the printout on a page to be exactly 4.75 x 4.75 inches (or other sizes in the future.)
how do i do that?

also i printed two pages (months on a calendar) and found that
although they both had the same column width and fonts
they printed out quite different sizes!

I don't have XL 2002 anymore, but in XL 2003 I'd insert a shape as a sizing box and set its size to the desired dimensions. I format the shape with no fill and a thick red border. Also set it to not move or size with cells.

Then I can model the spreadsheet rows and columns to fit inside the sizing box.

Before printing, I can move the sizing box out of the way and print only the rows and columns I need.

Hi, it seems like this is a bug that has been known for years but won't be fixed. See here (find the posts from Anita from Microsoft). You may need to adjust and scale the shape on the screen so that it prints to the size you need.
