How can I filter a Pivot Table by value concentration?

    Hi!

I've attached a sample Pivot chart attached that lists a serious of accounts (111, 444). Under the accounts, I have classified data (in this case, fish) as "Good" "Bad" or "Mild". Below a level, I have listed the various colors that each fish can have.

How can I filter this pivot so the highest number of "Good" or "Mild" accounts are shown first. As in - if the combined "Good" + "Mild" of account 111 is 3, but the combined "Good" and "Mild" count of account 222 is 2, how can I prioritize account 111 first?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hey Andy,

    Good question. Do this...

Click on the "Good" in your pivot table and move the mouse over the top edge of that cell. Wait for the mouse cursor to show all 4 arrows and then Click and drag that cell up so it is on the top of that group. This will move all the goods to the top for each account. I've done it for you, to prove it can be done.

    Hi,

I see what you did. You sheet shows how you grabbed the good cell and dragged it to the top of the list, then all other accounts had good listed first.

This works from my end, but their is also another issue I need help with - how can I filter the accounts so that the highest number of good and mild fish show first? As in, account 777 should be listed above account 555, because account 777 has a combo of 3 mild + good, and account 555 on has 2.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks!

    Hi Andy,

Pull the fish down to the values area in the Pivot Table List and sort the numbers from Large to small. See the attached for the example.

No, I'm not seeing it. If I place "Fish" in values, it counts all fish regardless of what type there are. this is not working.

I need to sort them based on the highest amount of "Good" fish. If I Good to the top, and move "Good" to the value field, it counts ALL the fish. YOur sheet
