How to change a list of reference cells without dragging

I want to save time and change my formulas that reference "C" to "E", I cannot just change one cell and then drag down to repeat the formulas since they are not in order and they also have text that needs to be different for each cell. Is there a way to simply make this change to the formula for the document without having to click on each cells formula individually and modifying it?
If this image is attached it will make a lot more sense.
Thank You!

Re: Save time

Why can't you drag the formula down ? Won't it still give you the same result ?

Re: Save time

I cannot drag the formula because I need to keep the text in the column on the right

Dear tonjo, Define numbering for each catagory. If you attach sample file i can try with simplfy.

tonjo welcome to the forum

Please take a moment to read the forum rules and then amend your thread title to something descriptive of your problem - not what you think the answer might be. (think google search terms?). Once you have done this please send me a PM and I will remove this request. (Also, include a link to your thread - copy from the address bar)

Many members search our previous posts, and thread titles play a big part of the search. I doubt anybody would do a search based on your title?

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT POST then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(note: this change is not optional )
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Save time

Hi Tonjo,

Please try this, on your spreadsheet display all formula (ctrl+~) then highlight all cells that you will change from E to E

use ctrl+H (replace) in the find what place "C" and in the replace with place "E"

Hope this works, i'm using this method when I'm changing references.

Re: Save time

I tried control H but the replace said it could not find a match.

Re: Save time

Never mind I tried to highlight just one cell and that worked! Im not sure why it wouldn't work when I highlighted an column but this is definitely going to save so much time

Thank YOU!
