Hi All,
I have a worksheet that is protected by password. This enables users to edit data only in certain cells in the worksheet.
At present, when I protect the sheet all the comments etc get locked. The users can not insert a comment in a "not locked " cell i.e. a cell in which they can change contents . If the comments exist, users can not change its value.
I would like to give users an ability to add/edit comments on a protected sheet.
Any type of suggestions are welcome. Thanks a lot for helping me out.

In xl2002+, you can use:
Tools|Protection|protect sheet
Near the bottom of that dialog is "edit objects"
check that box.
In earlier versions, there's an Object checkbox that can be checked/uncheck--I
don't recall what the dialog shows, though.
