    Can I get a chart to update a new column added?

    I want to create a chart, and add a new column of data as it becomes available. Is there a way to make the chart update the data to include the new column?

    You can right click on your graph and in "source data", expand your range, it should automatically pick up the new data.

    In formulas,you might need to replace ; with , depending on your XL version

    Hi,

    As well as Portuga's suggestion, you could also name the range that the chart is using, and then use the range name in the chart source data. That way you'll never need to touch the chart, just make sure the name covers all your data.

    And of course the smartest way to do this so you never need to worry about having to adjust the range name is to make the name a dynamic name which expands and contracts automatically.
