Trouble with Recurring Jobs in a daily job sheet

    G'day,

I am trying to have a daily list populate given the date. The list contains an address (cell A2) and a job description (cell A3) - there will be over 200 jobs in the master list.

What I am trying to do is when a date is entered at the top of the page then the list populates with a list of all jobs that need doing for that particular date.

I have limited success with lokkup functions given a master list on one sheet - then the job number listed next to the date - then the lookup function operating on another sheet.

Some of these jobs occur every day - once a week - fortnighty - monthly etc

Any help most aprreciated - Cheers Daz

this should point you in the right direction
date entered in a2 will return jobs for that date address in colum b and job in column c
the formula is an array and needs to be confirmed with ctrl+alt+enter

    G'dat Martindwilson,

I gave this formula a go in my spreadsheet but could net get it too work - so I used your exact scanario and still no joy. It always returns different addresses to what it is supposed too. I am using office 2007 - would that be causing a drama - I have copied exactly what you have in your example but I do not get the same results.

For example when entering 23-Mar-07 the addresses i get are
    43 ireland st
    45 mountain lane
    6 daffodil close
    5 leek st

    G'day

    Just a heads up.

The original upload zip from martindwilson works great. I'm using Office 2007.

If help is needed with 2007 just give us a call.

    Cheers

    G'day All,

I have saved the file to my work computer - which uses openoffice - all is working fine.

Thank you very much for the help on this - it now makes daily job sheet a hell of a lot easier.

    Cheers Daz
