When using Data Validation, the selected drop-down lists may show the bottom of the list, the middle of the list or the top, but they do NOT change depending on what was previously selected to populate the cell, nor how I select a cell and save the list itself (on a different worksheet). Is there a way to always have the top of the list appear in the drop-down -- perhaps a toggle somewhere?
Thanks!
try puting an empty(blank) cell as the first entry in list
Didn't work. But I appreciated your quick reply!
I figured it out by deleting various formatting one part at a time on a copy. Turns out, behind the data validation lists were Lists (as in "List" formatting). Once I removed that, shared access was possible again. (FYI: Data Validation works fine in shared worksheets, but apparently, Lists do not).
By the way, once I removed the Lists, the drop down list was in the right order, with the top of the list at the top of the drop down.
(I was mixing another problem with this one... But both were corrected when I removed "LISTS" from my formatting.)
