suppose it would be a help if i use an example
    http://www.soccerbase.com/
lets use reading as they are playing tonight
    click reading
    then results/fixtures
    excel
data from web > copy and paste http://www.soccerbase.com/results2.sd?teamid=2125 into web query
select the reading 2008/2009 results and fixtures box
    and import
now go to cell 40 ( ready for next import )
data from web > copy and paste http://www.soccerbase.com/results2.sd into web query
select the reading 2007/2008 results and fixtures box
    and import

    bizarre

i get same sort of problems with .aspx and now .sd

    anyone?

Re: import data from websites that end with aspx

    Hello,

The bit after the "?" tells the site which parameters to pass into the database to give you're required result. The site you talk about when you navigate to a different page, hides this from the address bar.

That's not a problem to access Readings scores from 2009/10 season do this

data from web > copy and paste http://www.soccerbase.com/results2.s...5&seasonid=138

to access Readings scores from 2008/09 season do this

data from web > copy and paste http://www.soccerbase.com/results2.s...5&seasonid=137

    etc. etc.

    Hope this has helped
