Thread: Hyperlink to JPEG Image?!

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a hyperlink within a spreadsheet that links to a JPEG image (in the same folder as the spreadsheet)?

I'm using Excel 2008 for Mac, and am able to create a hyperlink that links to a PDF file, but if I attempt to link to a JPEG file I get the error message "An unexpected error has occured".

Can anyone help me out?!

havent got that os but in mine simply insert/ hyperlink /browse to image click ok and it works

hmm, I wonder if this is a usual problem for Mac versions of Excel...

I have tried saving the file as both .xls, and .xlsx but I get the same problem both ways. Odd that it works for PDF's without any problems; just Insert > Hyperlink > (Browse to PDF) and it works...

Does anyone else have any suggestions as to what I could try to make this work?

perhaps its an ignore other applications thing! tools/general/ignore other applications(or however you get to that)
