Re: calculating the radius of a curve

    Hi Shg

I am looking through it an I notice that the lengths are not the same eventhough the angles and lengths are the same (H14:H)

If the angles are the same and the lengths are the same in B, then shoudl H values not be the same(obviously minus rad and offset.

    Cheers

    Pardon? Provide an example.
this is what i mean about a back bend (we call them reverse bends
    See attached for an example.
what I am looking for is a box or drop down that has 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 once thats chosen you then enter the info in the amount of boxes,
That's one way; the other is just to enter however many points you need.

Re: calculating the radius of a curve

Window segments 2 and 3 are the same length, but segment 3 has a sharper turn at its right than segment 2, so the angle of the arc is larger, so the length is shorter.

If you change the turn angle at the start of segment 4 to be the same (35 degrees), the lengths will be the same. Or change the bend radius to zero and observe that they are the same.

The three points at each corner are the center and tangent points of the arc.
