    u.s. / u.k date format

    Hi

    Got a strange query here...

I've got a big list of data which I can copy out from one programme straight into excel - from here I can add formulas etc so that I can pull out the info I need.

This all works ok but it's a daily task so what I've tried to do is record a macro to speed up what I am doing. What I have found though is that when the data is pasted in during the macro, the date format changes from uk to us format for dates early in the month - example being

10/03/2009 is coming out as 03/10/2009

although yesterday's date is showing correctly as 18/03/2009.

stranger still is the 28th feb - this will not show date correctly, it is displaying as 28/02/09 instead of 28/02/2009...

anyone got any idea how to fix this? I have tried to format cells as part of the macro but it dos'nt help
