I have a line graph with 2 points on it and a line connecting them. At each point, I have added error bars. I would like to have different values for each error bar but do not know how to do so.
I would like to have the error bar at the first point have a value of 0.74 and the error bar at the second point have a value of 0.58.
In Excel 2007, you can specify 'custom' error bars and then point to a range in the sheet. I assume you can do this with earlier versions.
I figured it out:
- The different margin or percentage error values must be placed inline on a row or column.
- Then from the Format Error Bars window, select Custom, click on Specify Value.
- Set the positive or negative values to the entire row or column the error values were placed.
- The values will be placed on points in order the error values were listed listed.
Thanks for the help!
