Hi,
I have a column containing data which I am then defining as a range and using in a data Validation list.
Sometimes that column will have more than one of the same value.
I want the list to only show ONE instance of each.
a distinct liss, so to speak.
can anyone suggest how I can acheive this.
thanks in advance,
Matt
Have a look at this sheet. It uses a couple of array formulas in D1 and D2 to show only unique values from column A, and it alphabetizes as a side effect.
The named range "Unique" is the blue cells. The validation list in the yellow cell uses it, notice how it strips out all the blanks, too?
