I have this problem where I will have a formula that works fines. Then when i go to change something about and get beck out of the cell it doesn't calculate. It just displays what I just typed into the cell.
The only way I have found to fix it is to copy the formula text and paste it into another cell. Then drag that cell to replace the original one. This sucks because then i lose all my references to the original cell.
Has any one else had this problem and if so how do I stop it from happening.
Thanks
Inferno
This probably means your sheet was preformatted as text...
You can do an Edit|Replace and replace = sign with = sign
if it persists after that, you may need to start in a fresh sheet/workbook.

Thanks,
The replace = with = worked as a fix.
Are you saying my entire sheet is formatted as a text and that's why this happens. The only reason I ask is cause sometimes this happens and other times not so much, even on the same sheet. It seems to be almost random. I'm just looking for a cause so I can try to avoid this problem from occuring all together.
Thanks

Maybe then some of the columns were preformatted somehow as text...
