Hi All
I have a very strange problem which I have never come acccross before. I have built a sheet whereby, via a series of SUMIF statements, I pull in data from other sheets. The SUMIF statements take their criterion from the product number which is in column "A". This is the key for the data in other sheets which is being pulled in. When I sort the sheet however, the row referenced by the SUM IF does not update, even though I am using relative referencing. For example, if a particular item was in row 90 and following the sort it is in row 5, the SUM IFs in that line will still refer to cell "$A90" for the criterion, even though the product number has moved to row 5 in the sort. Hence, the data is all over the place, and that in turn invalidates the sort. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
Regards
Steve
If you sort a column of data with relative references, the sorted cells simply change relatively, usually back to what they were. This is correct behavior.
