I need to select many cells and move them. Can I do this if I ctrl+click on multiple cells? All cells I need to move are not in a group.

Excel does not allow you to move non-contiguous ranges of cells. You will have to move each contiguous group separately.
If this is something you do often, a VBA solution could be an option, but if it is a one-off event then VBA is not worth the time/effort.
