new rows - how can pivot table include them automatically?

    Hi guys,

I have made a bunch of pivot tables and charts from about 500 rows of data. The data is updated with new information all the time, so tomorrow, when I get into work, there might be 510 rows of data.

I have about a dozen pivot tables set up nicely so they show the status of a whole bunch of important things. At the moment, when new data is added, the tables/charts don't reflect the new lines of data, even when I press 'refresh data'. I don't want to have to recreate the pivottables/charts all the time. Is there anyway of doing this automatically?

    John

You can create a Dynamic Named Range (see link in sig.) and use that as the source of your PT's... when data is added / removed and PT's refreshed the data will update accordingly.

VBA can be used to automate the refresh etc if desperate but that is in part dependent upon the setup of the PT's (grouping etc) and how data is to be entered at source.
