Hi,

I have an excel 2003 file saved on network drive. It is password protected.

When one user opens this file via Excel 2003 viewer and leave it on, another user opens the same file via Excel 2003 and tries to save it, it can't save. The error message is "Your changes can't saved to [file name] because of a sharing violation. Try saving to a different file".

What I have noted that the moment that file is opened via Excel 2003 on another computer, Excel 2003 viewer has a read-lock on the file. Is this normal.
