Fellow Forum Members,
I'm using Office Suite 2007. Much to my dismay I have learned that WORD has the ability to support voice comments. However, Excel does not support this function. What is up with the folks at Microsoft? Why omit it out of Excel?
ANyways, can anyone out there let me know if there is an Addin I could install into Excel that would enable it to support voice comments? If no addin is available, are there any workarounds? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.![]()

Thanks for you post Pike.
I think Speak is different when compared to Voice Record found in WORD. Excel's Speak feature requires one type what you want to hear spoken. What I need is the ability to record my voice and embed it in an Excel Cell.
Can anyone out there offer some advice on how I can make Excel support voice recording of comments? Thanks
you are right sound note has been removed but why not use speech

you could use sound recorder to save as a wav file then insert /object/ wavefile then edit to add the .wav but youd end up with a very big file a 9 sec wav makes a one sheet workbook withelse nothing in it 1.6 meg
