Is there a way I can format cell with a "Custom" number format code by using Conditional Formatting?
At the moment, for Formatting Cells under Conditional Formatting, you are only limited to Font Style, Underline, Color and Strikethrough.
Thanks in advance
Hi,
You can use custom format with colors and conditions ... e.g.
[Color36][>-15]00;[Color40][>-40]00;[Color38]00;

Hi Jean Rage,
Thanks for the very quick response.
Actually I want to create a condition with another cell as a reference, whereas if that condition is true, then I can manage the format which I want to (e.g. number of decimal places, currency symbol, etc).
For exmple, if cell A1 will have XXX value, then the number format of the value on my B1 cell will be 0.000 decimal numbers, otherwise it will only have 0.0 decimal number.
I think this can be done using conditional Formatting however, the format options on the conditional formatting is only limted to texts, borders and shadings.
There are many possibilities ... the maximum flexibility is using an event macro ...
Why don't you post a sample worksheet, for a tailor-made answer ...
