    Count exact matches in range

I have a list of 9 digit numbers in column CT, beginning in CT2 and continuing to CT24090. I want to create a formula in DD2 to tell me how many times the number in CT2 is repeated in the range CT2:CT24090. I have fried my brain trying to figure this out, please help. Thanks in advance.

Re: Trying to count number of exact matches in a range.

Have you had a look at countif?

    =countif(CT2:CT24090,CT2)

At Excelforum, you can say "Thank you!" by clicking the icon below the post.

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
