Hi,
I have a workbook with a few sheets, lets say for arguments sake sheet 1,2,3,4,5.
I have another sheet called "Data" in which I have a list of names and numbers in two columns like this:
Name - Sheet
James - 1
Alex - 2
Martin - 3
My Question is how do I get just the names with an sheet ID of 1 onto sheet 1 and so on.

If you don't need VBA , you could use the Data -Filter menu , and filter on Column B.
Then copy the filtered data onto the requested sheet.
You might consider using advanced filter with criteria. It has an option to copy the filtered results to another location. See this link for help: Excel Advanced Filter Introduction
Because you want to copy the result to another sheet, you must start Advanced Filter on the sheet that will hold the results. It's quite easy to use and will save you from having to manually copy filtered results.
