Hi,
I want to search through a column and add a corresponding value to another cell. For example,
A 5
B 4
A 5
A 2
B 3
I want to search through the first column above for the value "A" and return the value 12 in another cell, let's say C20. I've looked into vlookup, index, match but feel that I'm probably complicating things.
Any help much appreciated.
Try this:
=SUMIF(A:A, "A", B:B)
