I would like to create a chart that shows the distribution of the numbers, when my data is split up into different bins. So I would like to see how many companies scored a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 in each bin (which is the size of the company). Is it possible to do this in one chart, or would I have to get the averages and simply chart that? It does not have to be a histogram, it can simply be a scatter chart.
I have 2 rows of data: one is the size of a company in millions, the other is a number, 1 through 9, that has been calculated for each company (the name does not have to be graphed).
Please see attachment for the file.
See if the attached is what you want.

Thank you for your chart.
This is useful for getting the frequency of the "ratings" (1 - 9), but I am looking for a way to incorporate the size (column C) into my charts. So I would like to know how the larger companies (or larger numbers) are doing compared to the smaller ones. Again it does not have to be a histogram. If we can split up the size (col. C) into 10 different bins, then plot how many score which score per bin, that would be good.
I am terrible at charting in Excel, I have a tough time visualizing the necessary parts of the chart.
Thanks again for your help, Palmetto.
I think the only viable way to chart this is to average the values in column-C per their rating category.
I uploaded a revised workbook to my earlier post. Take a look.

This is very helpful and should help me with what I am trying to do.
Your code is very clean and I will be using both functions in the future (I was not aware of them before your worksheet).
Thanks again for your help!
