Thread: Help extracting a particular string of text from a cell.

hello, I am trying to extract "Monin Gourmet Flavorings" from the text string below and am having issues. This is the formula I am trying to use, but it is only extracting the first 12 characters. What should I change to correct this?

Original Text:

3499-Monin Gourmet Flavorings  (4 x 1 liter)

Formula I need help with:

=MID(C2,SEARCH("-",C2)+1,LEN(C2)-SEARCH("(",C2))

Try it like this:

=TRIM(MID(C2,SEARCH("-",C2)+1,SEARCH("(",C2)-SEARCH("-",C2)-1))
