I have a recurring problem with PDF documents that I embed as objects in my Excel spreadsheet. These documents will open correctly when first embedded. After closing and reopening the spreadsheet at a later time, some of these PDFs will open correctly, while others open blank. I am not linking to the file, so the fact that I have deleted these files should not be the issue.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and/or figured out how to fix it?
Thanks!
I have not had this problem nor ever heard of it. I have never heard of a PDF file opening blank in any situation.
If the data is not sensitive I suggest you attach a sample workbook and see if we can reproduce your problem. The problem is probably related to Excel playing nicely with your PDF reader, and the problem could be in several places.
What OS are you using?
What PDF reader and version are you using?

Don't attach a screenshot--just attach your Excel file! It's easier and will let us experiment with your data, formulas, and code.
I'm running Windows 7 and using Adobe Acrobat 9 on my computer.
I unfortunately am unable to share the exact spreadsheet that is giving me trouble. I'm also unable to recreate this problem in a brand new spreadsheet when embedding the exact same PDFs. Looks like I'll try recreating my troublesome spreadsheet in a new file to see if it resolves the issue.
Thank you for your attention!
