Error Bars-how does one add different standard dev bars?

I am working with two graphs (QI.xls)

my main question is, how does one add different standard dev bars on 2D bar graphs?

looking at my excel sheet, the tab (Grapth_Theme_Year) is based on the tab (datatable).
If you noticed in datatable tab, 2008 and 2009 has different SD. How do I add that in Excel 2007? I found the add error bar tab in the menu, but it seems that I can only add one constant value for both bars (so if it's 2, it would be 2008 +- 2 and 2009 +- 2.. instead of it should be 2008 +-1 and 2009 +-2).

Secondly, I would like to add additional information for the datatable under the Grapth_Theme_Year's graph. So i would like the table to show the SD, low and high values that is listed under the datatable tab. how does one do this?

The other graph, I would like to just add the error bar to the last (red) bar.

I basically want my graphs to look like the one in the sample.xls file. This graph was copied from a powerpoint slide over to excel. Sadly, it was pasted into the powerpoint as a picture, so I can't figure out how they did it. So as you notice in the sample.xls file, the bar graph is graphing the value, there is a different stand dev error bar for each bar graph and the datatable has extra elements that was not in the graph (best in class, low, mean). That is what basically what I want for my data. How does one do this in Excel 2007?

The extra items will appear in the data table if you add them to the chart.
If you set the fill to none for the additional series and the Overlap to 100 then you will not see them in the chart.

In the example I have set the transparency so you can see where the extra series are.

On the Error bars dialog is the option to use custom values. Just select the cells you want to use for each data point.
