Dynamic Named Ranges in Excel for Mac 2011?

How do I create a dynamic named range in Excel for Mac 2011? I can't figure out how to get to a dialog that allows me to enter a formula for a range that I've already created.

Hi Jmwbowen and welcome to the forum,

I believe Mac 2011 Excel looks like PC Excel 2010.
To get there in 2010 I click on the Formulas Tab and then the Name Manager. Then look down the list for your DNR. They don't appear in the Names Dropdown List to the left of the formula bar.

    hope that helps

Another thing. You need to edit the DNR and click on the formula and see where the dotted lines are to see what range it defines. At least this is how it works in 2010.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

I cannot find the Name Manager in Excel for Mac 2011. Within the Formula Tab there is NO Name Manager. There is a Function to Insert a Name (i.e. into a formula). I need to add a cell to a named range, and can't. really annoying, as I can't even delete the range and re-create.

I know this is old and the OP is probably never going to see this. But, i was just trying to figure this out and found this posting.

The usual windows version hotkey combination for the Name Manager Dialog is cntrl+F3.

Therefore on a Mac it's, fn+command+F3 --- Looks like the "fn" button makes the F1-F12 keys act like windows function keys, and cntrl becomes command as per usual.

SO, on Mac 2011 excel, Press "fn+command+F3" to see the name manager.

I was using any of these methods...what worked for me was to click on edit then click name then click define. This will bring up name manager in excel 2011 for mac
