    using miliseconds format in excel

    hi
    is there an option to use characters in excel? for example instead of writing 3e-3 I would like to write 3m (m= milisecond, u=microsecond, n=nanosecond...). and I would like excel to understand that of course, and also to display results like that instead of numbers.
    thanks.

    There is no way to do that with formatting.

    Edit: You can format in engineering notation: ##0.00E+0 Then

    0.00312 will appear as 3.12E-3
    0.00000312 will appear as 3.12E-6
    0.00000000312 will appear as 3.12E-9
