make cell size (row height) fit text sizes of cells in row

Hello group, this is my first post, I am at my wit's end. Please help!

At this point in time, I have to resize the height of a row so that I can read all the text that is in the cells.

You know what I mean? I have to read column C which is Korean and proofread its translation in column D, which is English. However, to do this, I have to resize the row and I have about 20,000 rows to edit.

So, I want the size of the cells (the height of the row) to be such that I can see all the text in all the rows (i.e., the height of the row is set to the cell with the longest text, be it the Korean column or the English column).

Is there a way to make this setting?

I will love you for life (girl) or be very grateful (guy) if you can educate me!!!

Hi Welcome to Forum

Select the cells and Format>Cells> Alignment tab select Wrap Text
by this cell height will be automatically adjust

I cannot find the 'Format' menu (I am using Excel 2010, not 2003). .. I have selected columns C and D and right-clicked, then selected "cell format" and then selected the "adaptation ?" tab and then the "text row change" box. [ I have to translate these from Korean, so I'm not sure exactly what all this means, even though I am a translator ]

I can do that, thanks to you, but for some reason column C with the Korean in it is miniscule and column D with the English in it is normal sized. I can't read the text in column C because it is too small. I really don't think anybody can help me with that, sounds like some quirk of my installation, however.

In detail, it looks like it fits the sentences in as a long line, but doesn't wrap the text. It only makes the cell wide enough to fit the sentence, and if it can't change the cell width then it makes the font unbearably small so it doesn't have to line break.

make sure row height is set to autofit

about changing the row height to auto-fit ....

There is a picture of a row under the "page layout" tab, and I have selected "automatic" but it doesn't seem to help.

I still really haven't solved this problem.

I am using Excel 2010, I have updated my profile to reflect this.

Is there another way to auto-fit rows so that it actually works?
