    Locking 1 column in place

    I want the first column of my spread sheet to remain in view as I scroll to the columns to the right. Is this something that is possible in xcel 2007?

    freeze panel u can freeze rows go to view and select u want to freeze

    Select cell B1
    View Tab> Freeze Panes>Freeze Panes
