Question Use vlookup to match a range of data?

ok, I have two spreadsheets that have a lot of repeated data. I've gone through the first spreadsheet and added information to each row. What I want to do is now copy that information to the second spreadsheet for the accounts that are on both spreadsheets so I don't have to go through and look up the information again. I was able to use vlookup to match a single column in both spreadsheets and have my information moved over to the second spreadsheet. This is helpful but not completely accurate since technically I need to be sure that the information of THREE columns match in order to make sure everything is the same. So how can i use vlookup or a different formula to match the three columns and return the information I've added in another column? Does that make sense? I tried to put in F18:G18 as the lookup_value but that obviously didn't work...

    A couple of options...

You could use a helper column and concatenate the cells you need to look up

    or

you could modify what you find here to lookup the three values

If this does not work for you then try postion a sample of your data and what you expect.
