Hi Everyone -
I have a question regarding pivot charts about something that seems relatively easy...
I have weekly data for different categories of website referrers - things like Organic Search, Paid Search, Direct, etc. for each week.
I'd like to use a single stacked bar for each week and then show possible changes in those proportions over time (that is, across the weeks of my data).
For some reason I can select the stacked chart but it won't actually change the chart's appearance - it still shows a bar for each of the 6 categories for each week of my data. I also tried calculating a percentage to use that in place of the raw numbers but it won't let me do that either, perhaps because I filtered out one "blank" category so it's telling me that calculating a percentage would be invalid if I attempted that (?).
Anyway, I really just want ONE nice stacked bar for each week to be more understandable. Thanks for any help!
Pivot Charts can be a pain when you want to manipulate them to appear in different ways. I find the easiest way to chart Pivot data is to simply copy the data out of the pivot table into some blank cells and then use that data for your chart. This will let you manually select the labels, data range etc.
