    Question Conditional Formatting Formula

    Hello,

I have a very large excel spreadsheet that I need to color code for simplicity of viewing. I need to somehow find out how to create a formula that will say, in layman's terms:

"If column F has the words 'Apple' OR 'Orange', AND column D doesn't have any words (null), then the entire row is the color green."

I'm very very new to formulas and although I can create a simple formula like:

"If column F has the word 'Banana', then the entire row is yellow'

..I don't know how to do anything more complex.

Can someone assist me? I would be very grateful!!!

    -Andrew

    Re: Conditional Formatting Formula Question

    Try

    =AND(OR($F1="Apple",$F1="Orange"),$D1="")

where you have selected rows to format beginning at row 1...
